Join us for a weekend of laughter, camaraderie, knitting and fun at Finnegan’s Run, located in historic Fredericksburg, VA. This year we have 2 sweaters to choose from, both are from The Fibre Co.’s Spring/Summer Collection for their &Make yarn. The Connections Cardi is a year-round open front, boxy cardigan. The Dreamy Drift Tee is an openwork cap sleeve tee, perfect for summer. If you prefer longer sleeves, Peg will be able to help you adjust the pattern to get just the sleeve length you are looking for. On Friday, July 19th starting at 11am you will be able to pick your sweater pattern for the project that you will be starting, get your yarn, create your gauge swatch and start knitting. We will have fun and games throughout the day and lunch will be provided. We will end the day around 5pm. Dinner will be on your own. We pick up again at 10am Saturday morning with a continental breakfast at the shop and a day filled with knitting on your sweater. Get customized help as we guide you through your project and answer any questions you may have. Of course, there will be breaks throughout the day for games and the return of the popular scavenger hunt. We will end at 5pm when the trolley will pick us up and take us downtown for a wonderful dinner at La Petite Auberge. After a scrumptious meal, the trolley will pick us up and safely return us to the shop. Sunday morning, we gather once more at 9am for a brunch that Cathy and Peg will prepare for you. We will end the weekend with a show and tell and celebration of you, our friends. Bring items that you have finished (or are still working on) to share with the group and provide everyone with inspiration for their next project.
A discounted room rate will be available at the Hyatt Place Fredericksburg - Mary Washington which is directly across from the shop. The room rate code will be sent out in an email to everyone registered as soon as the contract is finalized.
