Professional Finishing with Sarah Hatton Class 04/26/24

Finnegan's Run is pleased to host acclaimed British Designer Sarah Hatton for a one day visit and workshop opportunity. During this 3-hour workshop, Sarah will discuss loads of different tips and techniques to help you with your knitted garments! She will also demo mattress stitch seaming, picking up stitches, wrap stitch short row shaping and how to incorporate buttonholes into your knitted garment. Various options for blocking will also be explored.

Participants will need to bring a basic knitting kit, some DK or Aran weight yarn (plus appropriate needles) to knit samples and bring two 4” x 4” (or larger) stockinette knit squares in DK or Aran weight yarn to practice mattress stitch. Please do not use slipped stitch or garter stitch edges on your knitted swatch.
