This is a lightweight cardigan with a close and flattering fit that never feels bulky. Three-quarter sleeves and a creative construction will soon make this your favorite cardigan…It is mine! Oh, but wait!  There is no seaming with this top down cardigan..

 Class:                  Four 2 hour classes with total of 8 hours of instruction
                             Saturdays, March 28, April 4, May 2 and May 9  1 - 3pm

  • Must be able to Knit & Purl          
  • Should be familiar with the Long Tail Cast On                          

Skills Learned:

  • Learn about sweater construction/terminology
  • Sweater Shaping & fit
  • Become confidant with increases and decreases and when to use specific ones
  • Picking up stitches
  • Twisted Rib 

Required Materials Not Included in Class Fee:

  • 1200-1600 Fingering weight yarn that will provide 24 sts to 4 inches; ensure you have sufficient yarn to swatch appropriate
  • US 3 or 4 circular needles, 24”, 40” or size to obtain gauge of 6 sts per inch
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers in various colors
  • Highlighter tape, optional but helpful

We are a small business and ask that you purchase your class supplies from Finnegan's Run, at a 10% discount* 

Homework:

MUST complete a swatch and block it. Cast on 50 stitches. Knit until the swatch is at least 5”. To block, fill a bowl with cold water. Allow swatch to soak for 20-30 minutes. Do not twist the block. Place carefully on a dry towel.

We offer small class sizes to ensure that every student gets the help they require. We want everyone to go home feeling confident and successful in the new skills learned. 

Required Skills Policy

Please pay special attention to the prerequisites that are listed on each class sheet. Carefully read the skills that are required for each class prior to signing up. Each class is designed to teach a specific technique(s) and not necessarily the skills required to perform the technique. The dedicated class time does not account for teaching the skills on the required skills list. If you have any questions, please contact us and together we will make sure you are ready to get the most out of class.

 

Materials Policy

We are a small business and require you to purchase your class yarn from Finnegan’s Run.

 Class Size Policy

“Learn to” and “First Project” Classes will run without a required class size. All other classes will have a required minimum class size. The minimum class size will be listed in the class description “Class Size.” If this class size is not met by three (3) days before the class start date we will cancel the class, notify the students, and issue a refund.

 

Refund Policy

Refunds for Prepaid Classes can only be made if we are notified at least two (2) weeks in advance of the first class date. Missed Classes will not be made up unless the Instructor is unable to teach or the shop is closed for inclement weather. No refunds for missed classes.

 

Discount Policy
