Dropped a stitch? Accidentally added one? Knit when you should have purled? We've all been there! The good news is that most knitting mistakes can be fixed without ripping out all your hard work.

Join Jax for this two-hour workshop and learn how to recognize mistakes, figure out what went wrong, and, most importantly, how to fix them! You'll practice correcting common mistakes, learn how to "tink" (that's knit spelled backward!), and discover how lifelines can save you from having to start over.

A little know-how goes a long way toward making knitting more enjoyable. Whether you're a newer knitter or have been knitting for years, this class will help you spend less time worrying about mistakes and more time enjoying your knitting!

Skills Required

Students should be comfortable with:

  • Casting on and binding off

  • Knitting and purling

Materials Needed

  • Crochet hook (size E, F, or G) or a knitting repair tool

  • Worsted weight yarn and appropriately sized knitting needles for your practice swatch

Before Class – A Little Homework!

Please prepare a practice swatch to bring to class:

  • Using worsted weight yarn and appropriately sized needles, cast on 30 stitches.

  • Work in stockinette stitch for approximately 3 inches.

  • Do not bind off! Leave your stitches on the needles so they're ready for class.

A Note About Class Supplies

As a small business, we ask that class supplies be purchased from Finnegan's Run. We offer a 10% discount on eligible in-stock class supplies. The discount excludes special orders, trunk shows, loom rentals, and loom purchases.

Class Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans change! If you need to cancel, please let us know at least two weeks before the class to receive a refund.

Classes require a minimum of three students. If that minimum isn't met three days before the class begins, we'll cancel the class and issue a full refund.

Missed classes are nonrefundable and cannot be made up unless the instructor is unavailable or the shop closes due to inclement weather.
