Join us to knit the Cargo Collage Sweater by Stephen West, a top-down sweater filled with textured stripes that keep the knitting interesting from start to finish. Each texture is created using simple combinations of knit and purl stitches, resulting in a sweater that looks far more complicated than it really is.

This engaging design is perfect for knitters looking to build their sweater-making skills while creating a modern, wearable garment. Throughout the class, we'll guide you through the construction process, help you achieve a great fit, and build your confidence as you work through the various textured sections.

By the end of the class, you'll have a finished sweater full of visual interest—and a few new techniques in your knitting toolbox.

Skills Needed: Comfortable with knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, and basic increases and decreases.

Skills Learned: Top-down sweater construction, short rows for neckline shaping, reading textured stitch patterns, sweater fitting, and techniques for maintaining consistent gauge across multiple stitch patterns.

Whether you're knitting your first sweater or adding another handmade favorite to your wardrobe, the Cargo Collage Sweater is a fun and rewarding project that showcases how much can be accomplished with just knit and purl stitches.
